A few weeks ago Pauled and I were sent to the grey isles
Father Vestba was asked by his friend Nikar the head of the wizard Guild to send some people to the isles to investigate something about a murder. So Pauled and I were sent
I was so excited to see some of the world we live in
As we finished the preparations, we headed to the boat. We came across a female elf named Mithril and a young boy named John. John later decided the pirate life was for him.
So along the way we ran in to issues.
Such as a kracken and some pirates.
We also had a major problem when the rudder got broken. We end up lost and a drift. After all said and done we drifted to a very dangerous island.
Where we came across another boat sunk in the water.
We did inspect it with the great help of Mithril.
During our first swim I even got bite by a hammerhead shark. Not something I would like to do again.
Still we had to go to the boat again trying to find a map. This time Mithril went alone, but instead of the hammerhead shark, she took on a giant size crab. I don’t remember its color. But Mithril says it’s blue. I just know it tasted good.
Later that night we came across some undead creatures. I thank you for your blessing. I couldn’t believe how much the undead hated your holy light. It was amazing. Yet that was not our only problem on this island we come across a mystery of a dead wizard and his story of how this lighthouse was the only safe place on the island and some numbers he wrote on to the wall in the light house.
We also came across some Greek fire which was great in destroying the ghost ship.
The ghost ship was full of the undead. We did well for a while with your guidance. Yet I got struck down by a very powerful undead creature. I don’t know what happened next, but pauled filled me in. He said after I went down Mithril followed me in to the darkness as did our friend grisley the gnome (which we meet him and gruul upon the boat ride.
I must tell you I think Gruul has taken more than a little liken to Pauled. I am not sure how pauled feels about her, but he doesn’t push her away. Maybe it’s true love.
If it is I look forward to reading them there vows (but enough of this talk). Yet somehow Pauled and gruul survided the ordeal and freed this spirit of the boat. He also told us that when gruul throw us into the boat she missed but the nixies came to our rescue (which they owed us after making our lives so difficult).
Finally we broke free from the island and set course for the grey isles.

Humm how to start, I guess I will just start at the beginning
Once we arrived at the grey isles, we were not well received. The town Legislate refused to let us off the boat. So the town milita watched us. I tried many times to win them over, but all my attempts were in vain. Even Pauleds attempts ended in failure.
The good news was later that evening Pauled remembered the letter we got From Nikar granting us the right to enter. They weren’t happy with this but they let us in anyways (but with restrictions). We were told we couldn’t leave the town. Although we were invited to dinner with the Legislate (which later that evening we were warned by the spirit (that Pauled had freed) that the Legislate was going to poison us at dinner).
So we ended up having lunch at the Hiss. It was a great meal and the owners were awesome. They were Halflings, which in turn was another great experience for me. For as of yet I had not any Halflings. They were so nice and full of energy. Tea and her brother(well maybe not the brother) were excited about having customers. Which surprised me for this was a great place to dine. I could not believe it when tea started teaching me how to clog dance (But back to the point).
Later that day while we were being showed around, I started to ask questions about the children and their blank stare. I mean not all of the children looked like this, yet it felt like most of the children did. So during the conversation we came to find out these kids lived at the orphanage. Pauled decided to detect evil upon them. That’s he discovered they were tainted with evil. I knew what I had to do.
I knew this was unacceptable. So with your blessing, I left without delay. I had these guards take me there, for I would not take no for an answer. Reluctantly they took us. I marched straight in. As I did this Pauled casted detect evil. He discovered that this Anna creature was not what she appeared to be.
Without any hesitation I jumped upon the table and went to destroy this evil demon. So we attacked her. I think my greatest moment during this fight was catching the baby she threw at me. This Anna just needed to be destroyed. When we finial finished her off, we discovered her evil shine surrounded by the Bones of babies. This was unacceptable, so we cleared out the orphanage and burnt it to the ground. After this we knew without a doubt, that the Legislate was in on this or the true reason behind this.
So that night while I sleep, Mithril was sent out to spy on the Legislate. During this time she had realized she was being followed. She discovered it was one of the legislate men and she easily defeated him. Then she was free to finish her mission. Later the next day after she had discovered his plan to ambushing us, we decided to ambush him instead. After all said and done we arrested the Legislate and his wife.
We had a week to wait till the boat came back to pick us up and return us back to regeume.
So we used this week to work out the plans for the town. We put Falco in charge of the town, and got the carpenters to help in shoring up the houses.
So after the boat arrives, we all get prepared to leave. We get all are witnesses together and our evidence together for the trial against the Legislate. Then we head back to regeume.
After being welcomed back to Regeume by the Father himself, we head back to the monastery.
After a request from father Vestba, we spend a night of peace and prayer
The follow morning we had a talk with father Vestba before we head to court house.
So what can I say about our day in court
Well the day seemed to be going in our favor. Our lawyer was great, the witnesses for awesome.
So here it comes. All of a sudden our world seemed to stop, for somehow the Legislate got free of all charges. How could this be, he was guilty of all the charges. We had more than enough evidence against him never mind our witnesses. Only to discover he was a free man.
Later we discovered that the wizard guild worked a deal to let him free. I mean they asked us to go there and investigate.
Why would they do this.
He is guilty of all the charges and they just freed him just like that.
Then we hear that took away his title. Yet the wizard guild has the right to appoint another legislate.
But the consolation prize is Pauled is the head of arms and he answers to know one but the new legislate.
So now I look forward to going back to the grey isles and tell them that we lost.
We are sorry to have to tell you this. We had all but won, till the wizard guild made a deal and got him freed. Although he lost the right to be the Legislate.
I know I am sorry that you lost your children and other family members to him.
On another note the only good news we have is, the wizard guild that let this man free will be appointing a new legislate to send out to you.
I can’t take this, this evil man is set free for what, so the wizard guild to save face. I can only imagine what other evils they have freed upon our world just so they don’t look bad.
Then on top of this, before the day is even over they have a wizard approach us. This Wizard tells us he has some information to share with us and invites us to his house.
What do these wizards think, we will just say its ok that they got an evil man freed and lets meet the new wizard legislate.
Even still for some reason we go to his house. He starts telling us about some Halfling that can help us.
Even with this Pauled explodes on this man. It was awesome the way he told this wizard off. I felt the same way. Yet I was curious about this Halfling, other than that he can just go away.
So on top of this we come to find out that Mithril had come to see our father Vestba. We heard that she called us idiots, I guess for the way we treated this wizard. Was she not there when these wizards let that evil man go.
I know she has had issues when dealing with the human society. Humans should deal with human problems. I guess I never thought she truly felt that way.
It would sadden my heart even more lf she is just using us to find her father.
I guess I just thought going thru this would bring us all closer. I guess I am learning another hard lesson about different cultures.
For I have heard that elves think they are better than everybody else.
I am starting to think that maybe nobody wants to deal with them so they give the world a cold shoulder.
I mean after finding the picture with which appears to be Mithrils dad, Pauleds dad and Thaberus the 2nd looking like they were friends. Maybe we were meant to be friends.
Maybe I am just a fool.
